HOMER Pro features our new optimization algorithm that significantly simplifies the design process for identifying least-cost options for microgrids or other distributed generation electrical power systems. Optimization : HOMER examines all possible combinations of system types in a single run, and then sorts the systems according to the optimization variable of choice. HOMER simulates the operation of a hybrid microgrid for an entire year, in time steps from one minute to one hour. Depending on how you set up your problem, HOMER may simulate hundreds or even thousands of systems. It will attempt to simulate a viable system for all possible combinations of the equipment that you wish to consider.
Simulation: At its core, HOMER is a simulation model.

Thankfully, I pick stuff up quickly and I’m learning lots of new things about PC hardware. If only I could just slot one of these Samsung 980 Pro SSDs into my brain, I would no longer have that problem. Oh, I’ve been building my own PCs for 20-odd years, I just sort of ran out of storage in my brain around 2011 and now I have to spend ages reading up on the latest developments every time I need to buy a new component.
For someone writing about Black Friday PC hardware deals, I don’t know all that much about PC hardware.
